This notice fulfils the information obligation arising from Article 13 GDPR and describes the rules for processing the data of Wayfinder app users. The Wayfinder app helps you find your way in a building without the need to create an account or provide personal data. Search and navigation work locally on the user’s device. The data controller is the facility’s owner or manager, and EasyWay provides the technology solely as a processor. This English version is provided for convenience only; in the event of any discrepancy, the Polish version of this document prevails.
1.1. Data controller. The controller is the facility’s owner or manager who uses the EasyWay solution and publishes the content available in the app.
1.2. Processor. DOT DOT sp. z o.o., owner of the Easy-Way.io brand, processes data solely on behalf of the controller. The Data Protection Officer is Tomasz Budzyński. Contact: [email protected].
1.3. Purposes and legal bases for processing. Data is processed in order to provide the indoor navigation service and ensure the security of the app on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Statistical data may be processed for analytics purposes, also on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
1.4. Categories of data. Location data and entered searches are processed locally on the user’s device and are not sent to servers. The IP address is used solely to establish the connection and is not used to identify the user.
1.5. Data recipients. Data may be processed by entities providing hosting, content delivery and analytics services. The current list of entities is available in the EasyWay List of Subprocessors.
1.6. Data transfers outside the EEA. As a rule, data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area. An exception may be Cloudflare services carried out in accordance with the DPF and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
1.7. Data retention period. End-user data is not stored on servers. Statistical data may be kept for up to 14 months.
1.8. Your rights. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to and port your data in accordance with Articles 15–22 GDPR.
1.9. Right to lodge a complaint. A complaint can be lodged with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
1.10. Voluntary use of the app. Using the Wayfinder app is voluntary.
1.11. Automated decision-making. The app does not use profiling or automated decisions that produce legal effects in relation to users.
1.12. Limitations on exercising rights. Due to the anonymous nature of the app, exercising certain rights may be limited if the controller is unable to identify the user in accordance with Article 11 GDPR.
2.1. If the facility’s controller has concluded a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with DOT DOT sp. z o.o., its provisions take precedence over the general rules described in this notice.
